Community Development Projects

Bus Project (2 buses)
Transportation

We are asking the community to join hands together to make this transit project a reality. As some of you might know the Black community has no transportation system we can call our own.

This initiative is an effort to help solve the transportation problem we have when it comes to travel. We are raising money for two buses. These buses will run from California to New York (Coast to coast). One on I-10 and the other on I-80.

What will a transit system do?
  • Help create jobs within the community.
  • Help ease traveling cost from East coast to West Coast and vice versa.
  • Help provide a transportation for events, conferences, festivals and other organized activities.
  • Help provide a subsidized rate to travel for everyone including the less fortunate.
  • Our goal is for every group in every city to replicate this process and to have their own bus.
  • Another step in the right direction.

Some of the transportation issues the community is facing:
  • We do not have our own transit system.
  • Majority of the community travels by road and are faced with high traveling expenses.
  • Most black organizations all over the country, groups small and large have to hire charter buses for events they wish their members to attend a high cost.
  • Every other community has a transit system for their members except for the Black community.

We are calling on like minded individuals, ones that are not afraid, ones that have a breath of character, to join this movement. To make us believe again and bring our community back from economic extinction.

Truck Project
Transportation

The economic success of any group or nation depends on its ability to distribute resources effectively.

One of the major setbacks the African American community has in rebuilding its economic base is the ability to distribute its own goods and services. The trucking initiative is our effort to combat the high cost of distribution and to create a pipeline between business-to-business and business-to-customer market infrastructures.

Benefits of a trucking system:
  • The ability to distribute wholesale commodities for small business costly effectively.
  • Ideal for transporting perishables (eg fruit and vegetables) to food deserts.
  • Helps create a flexible door to door delivery system.
  • Helps reduce the cost of heavy goods.
  • Helps create new opportunities and pipeline to international markets.
  • The creation of jobs among our people Watch!
