Economic Development Collaborative

The Economic Development Collaborative (EDC) was established in response to the African-American community's expressed interest in economic development and community building. EDC?s first priority is to create an asset map that depicts internal and external resources available to our community. The second priority is to build a network and facilitate strategic relationships between partners of the collaborative. The third priority is to identify resources specific to economic and community development and leverage strategic partnerships that increase access to those resources.-- --This year?s project is focused on the preservation and growth of Minority Depository Institutions pursuant to the Dodd-Frank Act. In the process we bring communities and businesses together to establish an economic base for community and business development.
